The National Wild Turkey Federation, River to River CWMA, and the NRCS partnered to host an Invasive Plant and Forest Management Field Day at Trail of Tears State Forest on Saturday, July 26th. Over 20 landowners were in attendence. The morning was filled with presentations on Forest and Wildlife Management by Kent Adams, NWTF; Invasive Species Control Techniques by Chris Evans, River to River CWMA; and Cost-Share Programs by Don McCallon, RNCS. The National Wild Turkey Federation provided a BBQ lunch for everyone from Great Boars of Fire. After lunch, Bruce Henry, with the Nature Conserancy and the Southern Illinois Invasive Plant Strike Team, demonstrated some equipment and techniques used on invasive plant control
